The Dettelbach Pilgrimage of the Parish Community Theres took place in September 2025. As every year, pilgrims walked from Ottendorf to the pilgrimage church Maria im Sand in Dettelbach, with options to join from Kolitzheim and Neuses. Prayer, singing, and a joint divine service characterized the pilgrimage day.
In 2025, the Parish Community Theres continued its over 500-year-old pilgrimage tradition. Pilgrims set off on foot from Ottendorf early in the morning towards Dettelbach in the Kitzingen district, with shorter routes possible via bus transfer from Kolitzheim and Neuses. The pilgrimage day was characterized by prayer, singing, and community, culminating in a divine service in the pilgrimage church Maria im Sand. The pilgrimage is part of the living Marian devotion of the Diocese of Würzburg.
