Democracy Festival "Live Beautifully Without Nazis"

The 17th edition of "Live Beautifully Without Nazis" took place on September 6, 2025, on Alice Salomon Square in Hellersdorf. From 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, more than 70 initiatives, associations, and institutions from the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district set up their information booths around the square; on the main stage, live music, speeches by civil society actors, and performances alternated. Hands-on activities for children and young people, workshops, and solidarity food trucks complemented the program.

The festival was organized by the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance Marzahn-Hellersdorf, supported by the Partnership for Democracy Hellersdorf within the federal program "Democracy Live!", the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Youth Office, Roter Baum Berlin, and the initiative "Solidarity Neighborhoods Marzahn-Hellersdorf." The 2025 edition confirmed the festival as the most important political district event in the eastern district and laid the groundwork for the 18th edition on September 5, 2026.
