Overview

The DATEV Challenge Roth 2025 was held on the first weekend of July, once again confirming its reputation as the largest and most atmospheric long-distance triathlon in the world. Around 3,400 individual starters and numerous relay teams from over 60 nations completed the 226 kilometers; hundreds of thousands of spectators lined the course, especially the legendary Solarer Berg.

The 2025 edition of the DATEV Challenge Roth took place traditionally on the first weekend of July. As every year, the race sold out in a very short time. Thousands of athletes from all over the world completed 3.8 km of swimming in the Main-Danube Canal, 180 km by bike through the Middle Franconian countryside, and a final marathon before crossing the finish line in the packed triathlon stadium.

The Solarer Berg, as usual, offered its unique spectator backdrop reminiscent of the Tour de France. The multi-day triathlon festival surrounding the race, with its welcome party, expo, and pasta party, once again made Roth the center of international endurance sports.
