Overview

In 2025, the Darß-Festspiele again featured the open-air stage in Born a.Darß with its in-house production, Low German performances, guest shows, and children's programme – the largest open-air theatre format on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula.

An Established Festival Season

The 2025 season of the Darß-Festspiele followed the proven format: an annual in-house production over several weeks, supplemented by Low German performances, guest shows from cabaret and comedy, and a family programme. Since 2003, the format has built a loyal base of regular guests who return to the Darß peninsula every summer.

For 2026, the festival team has announced the in-house production »Die Heiden von Kummerow – Alles Müller, oder … wie?« based on Ehm Welk – a work from the canon of Northern German literature, continuing the festival's profile with regional relevance and literary ambition.
