Overview
In 2025, Backstage Munich once again transformed into the meeting point for the European extreme metal scene over Easter. Over 30 bands on three stages, a sold-out weekend, and a lineup showcasing the full spectrum of Black, Death, Doom, and Atmospheric Black Metal. The 2025 edition continued the uninterrupted series of sold-out editions since 2018.
The 2025 edition cemented DEMM's reputation as an uncompromising extreme metal platform in Southern Germany. MRW Concerts curated a lineup that combined big names with newcomers, once again utilizing the three stages of the Backstage complex for non-stop programming. As every year, the festival was sold out weeks in advance, with attendees traveling from all over Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond.
