The Dammer Summer Festival brings an unusual musical accent to Damme's traditional festival landscape. While the town is otherwise primarily known for its Dammer Carneval and its Schützenfeste (shooting festivals), the Summer Festival is establishing a modern, electronic festival culture. EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and House music are the styles that define the festival — a deliberate contrast to the region's more traditional festival formats.
