Overview

The Alsterlauf 2025 took place, as every year, in September at Ballindamm. The mix of a 10-kilometer main race, a 5-kilometer distance, and a children's run once again attracted around 14,000 participants to Hamburg's city center. The charity portion for Aidshilfe Hamburg reached approximately €4,100.

The route along the Alster proved once again in 2025 to be one of the most attractive city running routes in Europe. With Ballindamm as the start and finish area, the race once again received the stage characteristic of Hamburg. The Alsterlauf opened the Hamburger Laufcup and marked the start of the autumn running season in the Hanseatic city.

The social aspect – the collaboration with Aidshilfe Hamburg e.V. – remains an integral part of the concept. Over €4,100 was raised in 2025 for HIV education.
