Overview

In 2025, the Cuban Night at Schloss Strünkede once again invited guests to a salsa night in the historic moated castle. Marcando and the annual Strünkede Summer program turned Herne into a Caribbean dance stage for an evening – one of the most charming summer formats in the northern Ruhr area.

The 2025 Cuban Night continued the annual tradition of transforming Schloss Strünkede into a Latin dance floor once every summer. Marcando from Cologne has been synonymous with authentic salsa for years and guides the audience safely through the night – dance introduction included, cocktails at the bar, the castle courtyard as an extraordinary backdrop.

The Strünkede Summer is the annual open-air event series organized by the city of Herne in the castle park and courtyard. From May to September, concerts, theater performances, and dance events alternate – Cuban Night is a regular fixture in every edition.
