Overview
The first edition of CSD Soest took place in 2025 with over 1,000 participants – a clear statement for a district town of this size. The march through the old town and the subsequent street festival established CSD Soest as a regular event in Westphalia's Pride calendar.
Already in 2025, the CSD ran parallel to the traditional Bürgerschützenfest – a rather unusual coexistence in German festival culture, which is considered successful in Soest. The 'Soest ist bunt' alliance drew a positive conclusion and announced its repeat in 2026.
