In 2025, CSD Potsdam once again sent a strong message for the visibility and rights of the LSBTIQ* community. Demonstration through the city center with a start at the State Parliament, Queensday Festival in the Dutch Quarter, and a church service by queer*kirche*potsdam — an established tradition that is gaining increasing political weight in a tense political climate. The 2025 edition laid the groundwork for the structural innovations of 2026.

CSD Potsdam 2025 — Review

CSD Potsdam 2025 took place as usual in the first days of May. Demonstration from Alter Markt through the city center, Queensday Festival in the traditional venue of the Dutch Quarter, and on Sunday a church service in the Nikolaikirche. Regenbogen Potsdam and the participating alliance were once again able to mobilize several thousand participants — the main theme was queer-hostile tendencies in the political environment and the growing need for protection and visibility. The experiences of 2025 directly led to the development of the innovations for 2026 (combined demo with Inspection Initiative, relocation of Queensday to Alter Markt, political talk format).
