CSD Kempten / Allgäu Pride

The first CSD Kempten / Allgäu Pride took place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Kempten city center — the historic premiere of a Pride event in this Southern German region. Organized by Allgäu Pride e.V., it brought together the queer community of the Allgäu, their allies, and sympathizers for a coordinated political and festive occasion for the first time.

A Pride parade, a demonstration with political demands, and a rally with speeches, live music, and interactive stands characterized the day. Despite the event's young history, several thousand people participated — a clear sign of the necessity and resonance of the format in the region.

With the success of the first edition, the Allgäu Pride Month was established: a concentrated festival month between the CSD Kempten in early August and the CSD Kaufbeuren in mid-September. Allgäu Pride e.V. built on the premiere and consolidated its association work, school workshops, and regional networking.
