The 17th CSD Cottbus & Niederlausitz in the summer of 2025 brought queer life, events, and political messages to Cottbus city center and Niederlausitz for two weeks. With a demonstration, receptions, queer cinema, and concerts, Regenbogenkombinat Cottbus once again made the region's diversity widely visible.

The 17th CSD Cottbus & Niederlausitz 2025 once again confirmed the festival's importance as the most significant queer event in the southern Brandenburg Lausitz region. Over two weeks, events were held across Cottbus, the Spree-Neiße district, and Oberspreewald-Lausitz: queer films, receptions, readings, political discussions, and association formats made queer life visible. The highlight was the Pride demonstration through Cottbus city center with thousands of participants — a procession that had a particular impact given the political landscape in Lausitz. With the 2025 mobilization, Regenbogenkombinat Cottbus laid the groundwork for the anniversary festival of the 18th edition in 2026.
