CSD Chemnitz 2025 took place during the European Capital of Culture year, combining a demonstration and street festival for LGBTQ+ rights. Rally at Brühl, demonstration procession through the city center, stage program with concerts by queer bands, drag shows, and speeches — a strong visibility event in the European Capital of Culture.

CSD Chemnitz 2025

During the European Capital of Culture year 2025, CSD Chemnitz took place with special attention. A demonstration procession, rallies, and a street festival at Brühl marked the day, with support from numerous associations, trade unions, and the city community. Topics in 2025 included hate crime, protection for transgender people, and anti-discrimination in schools and the workplace.

With this event, CSD Chemnitz e.V. sent a clear signal for diversity and tolerance in Saxony's third-largest city — an important preparation for the 2026 edition.
