Creußener Gregorifest 2024 – Review

From July 19 to 22, 2024, Creußen celebrated its historical Gregorifest on the market square. As the festival only takes place every two years, it was the most recent regular festival year before 2026.

2024 Program

The highlight was the festive children's parade on Saturday at 1:30 PM from the town hall – the girls wore flower arches, and the children carried flags. On Sunday, the traditional Rooster Strike followed, where a clay pot had to be smashed blindfolded, as well as the classic games of sausage snapping, sack racing, and egg and spoon race. The festival built on the centuries-old tradition and attracted visitors from all over Upper Franconia.
