crescendo 2025 — UdK Opens Its Halls

In 2025, the crescendo festival once again transformed the UdK Berlin in Charlottenburg into a vibrant concert venue for two weeks. Over twenty free events brought the breadth of the Faculty of Music to the stage — from the UdK Symphony Orchestra, chamber music evenings in string, wind, and piano formations, the Big Band JIB of the Jazz Institute Berlin, vocal ensembles and the university choir, to contemporary music from the Studio for New Music. The children's program crescendino was aimed at families and schools, with concerts and workshops designed to inspire young listeners with classical music. Venues included the UdK Concert Hall on Hardenbergstraße, the Joseph Joachim Concert Hall on Carmerstraße, and selected special events at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Free admission to all concerts made the festival accessible to a wide Berlin audience and regularly filled the halls.
