Overview

The Cranger Kirmes 2025 continued the centuries-old tradition: eleven days of NRW's largest Volksfest with around 4 million visitors, an opening ceremony, a parade, a family day, and three major fireworks displays on the Rhine-Herne Canal. The festival hall was fully booked throughout the event, with the show program ranging from Schlager music to rock bands.

Looking Back at 2025

As every year for decades, the Crange festival grounds in northern Herne transformed into an 11-day spectacle of lights at the beginning of August. The Ferris wheel, Wilde Maus roller coaster, bungee attractions, and hundreds of stalls attracted visitors from the entire Ruhr area and far beyond.

Highlight: Three Fireworks Displays

As always, the three major fireworks displays on opening day, Wednesday evening, and the closing Sunday provided the most spectacular highlights — best viewed from the bridges over the Rhine-Herne Canal.
