The 8th Cottbus Soapbox Derby 2025 again took place as part of the Sachsendorf Community Festival. Tinkerers and families gathered on the Gelsenkirchener Platz for the annual rolling cart race in Cottbus's Sachsendorf district.
In 2025, the Cottbus Soapbox Derby continued the tradition of enhancing the annual community festival in Sachsendorf with a sporty and playful element. Self-built soapbox cars in several classes, a day full of spectator atmosphere, and a dedicated team from the neighborhood center characterized the race.
The community festival, as usual, lasted three days and attracted thousands of visitors from southern Cottbus and the adjacent Lausitz region.
