Overview

In 2025, the Cottbus Pottery Festival was also held at Oberkirchplatz — the 28th edition once again gathered around 55 pottery workshops from Germany and Europe. Live demonstrations at the potter's wheel, a children's programme, live music, and gastronomic offerings formed the proven market weekend. Organiser: CottbusService / Stadthalle Cottbus.

The 2025 edition continued the tradition established almost 30 years ago. The Pottery Festival is one of the most prominent craft markets in Eastern Germany and attracts pottery enthusiasts from Brandenburg, Saxony, Berlin, and beyond.

With its central location at Oberkirchplatz, the high-quality selection of workshops, and the combination of craft, demonstrations, and family activities, the Cottbus Pottery Festival has developed a clear profile — and is one of the flagship events of Cottbus's festival culture.
