World's Largest LARP
For over two decades, ConQuest of Mythodea has been the largest Live-Action Role-Play (LARP) event in the world. Annually, it gathers around 10,000 participants from Germany, Europe, and overseas, who experience and co-create stories together in a unique fantasy world – the world of Mythodea. Comparable events in the USA, Great Britain, or Scandinavia do not reach this scale.
What is LARP?
Live-action role-playing is a form of interactive storytelling: participants slip into roles – warriors, mages, thieves, healers, merchants, nobles, peasants – dress accordingly, inhabit a camp with other players for the duration of the event, and collectively shape a living, unscripted theater. Conflicts are resolved with padded weapons (latex and foam), magic is represented symbolically, and complex narratives unfold over several days.
Rittergut Brokeloh – The Natural Stage
The venue is the expansive grounds of Rittergut Brokeloh, a district of the municipality of Stolzenau in the Nienburg/Weser district. The area, featuring forests, meadows, moats, and historic buildings, provides the ideal backdrop for a world of fantasy and medieval ambiance. Several camps with hundreds of tents are set up across the grounds, transforming the entire area into a living game world.
Program
Arrival is possible from Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, to set up and establish camps. The official opening, including a welcome, setting introduction, and grand staging, takes place on Wednesday, August 5th; gameplay begins around 6:30 PM. In the following days, battles, diplomacy, magic, conspiracies, feasts, and rituals unfold within a highly complex game system. The event concludes on Sunday, August 9th, 2026, with the dismantling of camps and departure.

- Wednesday, August 5th, 2026 – Official Opening: Welcome of all participants, grand opening staging by the organizer, introduction to the 2026 setting, gameplay begins around 6:30 PM
- August 6th–8th, 2026 – Main Gameplay Phase: Battles, diplomatic negotiations, magical rituals, conspiracies, camp feasts, markets, tournaments, quests, and individual plots
- Sunday, August 9th, 2026 – End of Gameplay and Departure: Final staging, end of gameplay, camp dismantling, departure

By car via the B215 from Nienburg or Minden, follow signs for "Rittergut Brokeloh". Traffic will be managed by the organizers during the event. Public transport: limited – travel by private vehicle or carpooling is recommended.
