Overview

The Edingen-Neckarhausen community festival "Rund ums Schloss" took place in 2025 on the 2nd weekend of July in the Neckarhausen castle courtyard. Local clubs provided catering, music, and a family program — an established summer weekend in the Palatinate festival calendar of the Rhein-Neckar district.

Palatinate Summer Tradition

The community festival in the castle courtyard of Neckarhausen has been a well-established summer event for the municipality for years. The combination of a baroque castle setting, village-style catering by the clubs, and a relaxed weekend format makes the festival one of the most beautiful examples of Palatinate club life — comparable to the Schloss-Schwetzinger Fest or the "Kerwen" (church consecration festivals) of the Rhein-Neckar district.

In 2025, too, the clubs used the castle courtyard as the central festival area; the program followed the proven schedule of Saturday evening concerts, Sunday morning "Frühschoppen", lunch, and family afternoon. Visitors from Mannheim, Heidelberg, Schwetzingen, and surrounding municipalities turned the courtyard into a lively meeting point for the region.
