Overview

In 2025, the 671st Coburger Vogelschießen took place as is traditional in early August at the Ketschenanger fairground. Ten days of festivities with a parade, festival tent, amusement park, crossbow shooting, family day, and king's shooting competition — organized by the Schützengesellschaft Coburg 1354 e.V.

The 2025 Coburger Vogelschießen continued the unbroken series of Germany's oldest marksmen's tradition. As for generations, the festival ran for ten days on the Ketschenanger fairground, featuring the historic parade of the Schützengesellschaft Coburg 1354 e.V. on the first festival Sunday.

Family Day on Wednesday, the king's shooting competition and coronation of the new marksmen's king on the final Sunday, and evening entertainment in the festival tent with changing live bands — all in the established format. 2025 also served as preparation for the grand 672nd anniversary edition in 2026, with enhancements to the amusement offerings.
