Overview
As every year, the Coburg Christmas Market opened at the end of November 2025 with the traditional opening ceremony. For four weeks, visitors from Coburg, the Coburg region, nearby Thuringia, Lower Franconia, and Upper Bavaria flocked to the market square.
As always, the star tent at the Prince Albert Monument remained the meeting point and center of the market — here, people met for mulled wine, chatted with Coburg locals, and soaked in the historic market atmosphere. Local artisans demonstrated their techniques, Coburg Bratwurst and gingerbread provided sustenance for visitors, and the nostalgic carousel spun for children. The combination of historic scenery, Franconian specialties, and a lovingly traditional program once again confirmed Coburg's reputation as one of Bavaria's most beautiful Christmas cities.
