Edition 2025 — Civic Festival Villa Hammerschmidt
The Federal President's Civic Festival 2025 took place as usual in late summer at Villa Hammerschmidt Bonn. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier welcomed citizens for the Open Day. Bonn partner organizations from development cooperation, climate, and education policy presented their work. Co-organizers: Federal President's Office, BMZ, City of Bonn. Free admission.
In 2025, the Villa Hammerschmidt once again opened its doors for the Federal President's Civic Festival — one of the rare occasions during the year when the presidential residence was accessible to the public. Federal President Steinmeier personally welcomed guests, continuing the tradition of previous years: honoring socially engaged initiatives, showcasing Bonn's UN organizations as exhibitors, and featuring a cultural stage program in the park. With co-organizer BMZ and the City of Bonn, the role of Bonn as an international city was highlighted.
