The 28th edition of the Chursächsischer Sommer 2025 offered around 300 events in Bad Elster, Bad Brambach, and at about 40 partner venues in Saxony, Bavaria, Bohemia, and Thuringia. Patrons included Alexander Dierks (President of the Saxon State Parliament) and the Czech Consul General in Dresden.
28th Edition 2025 — Cross-Border Tradition
The Chursächsischer Sommer 2025 confirmed its reputation as the largest cultural festival of the European Spa Region. From May 1 to October 5, 2025, around 300 events of all genres took place — classical, jazz, theater, readings, open-air spectacles — with the Chursächsische Philharmonie as the festival orchestra.
Bad Elster once again served as the main hub with the König-Albert-Theater and the Königliches Kurhaus; 40 partner venues in Saxony, Bavaria, Bohemia, and Thuringia expanded the cross-border reach.
