Overview

The 43rd edition of the Wedel Christmas Market at the Roland took place on November 29 and 30, 2025. Over 80 stalls gathered around Wedel's landmark — arts and crafts, medieval goods, gastronomy, and contributions from Wedel's associations and institutions characterized the first Advent weekend.

2025 Edition

In 2025, the concept of a curated market, medieval-historical assortment, and participation of the city community was again successful. Wedel Marketing e.V. organized the market once more with great volunteer effort — around 250 helpers made setup, operation, and dismantling possible.

Popular Stands

The contributions from Immanuel Church (Advent service), the City Museum (historical exhibits and tasting stalls), and the Freihof (handmade jewelry) were among the highlights — they give the market its special, less commercial character.

Programme

The 2025 market opened on Saturday morning and closed on Sunday evening — similar to the structure of the 2026 edition. Brass music, choirs, and children's programs accompanied the two market days.
