Overview

The Christmas Market at the Old Castle Penzlin took place in 2025 on Saturday, December 6 (2nd Saturday of Advent) from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the castle courtyard. The traditional Advent market offered handcrafted gift ideas, regional products, music by the Penzlin brass band, children's activities, and catering by volunteer associations.

2025 Edition

As in previous years, the courtyard of the Old Castle Penzlin opened its gates for a day on the 2nd Saturday of Advent 2025 for a small Christmas market. Stalls with fabric and knitwear, ceramics from Mecklenburg workshops, regional food products, and winter refreshments filled the courtyard.

The musical opening was performed by the Penzlin brass band, followed in the afternoon by a puppet show and a visit from Santa Claus. Catering was traditionally provided by the volunteer fire department, the friends association, the parish community, and local clubs. The market will continue on December 12, 2026.
