Overview

In 2025, the Christmas in the World Heritage Site Wismar once again transformed the UNESCO World Heritage old town into a festively illuminated Christmas market. On the Market Square and at the Old Harbour, arts and crafts, regional and Scandinavian specialities, the Wismar Star Forest, and a children's Christmas market invited visitors for a stroll during Advent.

The Christmas in the World Heritage Site Wismar 2025 extended across the market square and the Old Harbour of the Hanseatic city during Advent. The illuminated World Heritage old town with the 'Wismarer Weihnachtsstern' (Wismar Christmas Star) once again formed the unique backdrop.

Stalls with traditional crafts, regional and Scandinavian specialities, the Wismarer Sternenwald (Wismar Star Forest) at the Old Harbour, and concerts characterised the market activities. For children, there was a dedicated children's Christmas market with rides and craft activities.
