Overview

In 2025, the 'Choirs in Körnerpark' series also took place on all Sundays in May in front of the gallery in Körnerpark, Neukölln. Two Berlin choirs per concert, each lasting 30 minutes, with free admission. The genre spectrum ranged from Gospel to Pop and Classical. The format has established itself over the years as a reliable Sunday event in the Neukölln cultural calendar.

The 2025 edition followed the established format – 30-minute slots, two choirs per Sunday, open seating in the park. The susceptibility to weather is part of the concept: on Sundays when May rain caused concerts to be cancelled, the gallery in Körnerpark at least remained open as an exhibition space.

The series is part of the district of Neukölln's summer open-air program and is an example of how Berlin district cultural offices continuously animate park spaces with low-threshold, curated formats. In the state of Berlin, Körnerpark is considered one of the most distinctive of these summer stages.
