In the European Capital of Culture year 2025, the Chemnitz Wine Festival was held with particularly high attendance. The 20-meter windmill, themed nights, and tea dance formed the proven concept — complemented by additional supporting program elements from the Capital of Culture year. In 2026, the festival continues the tradition from July 24 to August 16.

The 2025 Wine Festival took place in the shadow of the European Capital of Culture — Chemnitz held the title in 2025, together with Nova Gorica. The festival benefited from increased tourist attention and complemented the already dense Capital of Culture program with a carefree summer accent. Over 50 vintners, tea dance, children's fair, and themed nights confirmed the format. For 2026, the festival continues the tradition.
