Overview

The CHARLIE Children's Festival 2025 took place on May 24 from 10 AM to 6 PM in the Chemnitz city centre. Bouncy castles, bungee, Blue Light Mile, fairy tales, Kaufland Family Moments World, and career field fair «Mach was Neues!» for young people — a proven program in the 2025 European Capital of Culture.

2025 Preview Edition — In the Year of the Capital of Culture

The CHARLIE 2025 fell within Chemnitz's year as European Capital of Culture. The city centre was already particularly active with cultural events during this period — the children's festival fit into this enhanced city program and offered families from the region a relaxed day with bouncy castles, the Blue Light Mile, the Kaufland children's cooking class, and the career fair. The Chemnitz Police, Exclusiv Events, and GGG Chemnitz successfully organized the event despite the additional demands of the Capital of Culture program.
