In 2025, the Aschaffenburg Cultural Office again invited visitors in June to the Carillon & Percussion Festival: international carillonneurs at the carillon of Johannisburg Castle with live broadcast to the castle courtyard, percussion concerts, and the handbell choir.
The 2025 edition continued the festival format established in 2022 by the Aschaffenburg Cultural Office: in June, international carillonneurs played the 48-bell carillon in the east tower of Johannisburg Castle; the concerts were streamed live to the LED screen in the castle courtyard.
The program was complemented by percussion concerts at renowned venues in the city and performances by the Aschaffenburg Handbell Choir. The festival is a firm fixture of the cultural summer on the Bavarian Lower Main, supported by, among others, Sparkasse Aschaffenburg-Miltenberg and the Bezirk Unterfranken.
Prices
Carillon concerts in the castle courtyard are free to attend; individual percussion concerts are ticketed.
