Calderón Festival Bamberg

In 2025, the Calderón Festival once again drew audiences from Bamberg, Franconia, and far beyond to the courtyard of the Alte Hofhaltung. The series reaffirmed its reputation as the summer highlight of the city's theatre culture.

With its historic backdrop of Renaissance buildings, half-timbered houses, and views of the Cathedral, the venue remained one of the most atmospheric locations for open-air theatre in Germany. The close cooperation between the theatre, the city, and tourism once again made the festival an attraction — with well-attended performances throughout the season.
