Overview

The Cadolzburg Kirchweih 2025 was traditionally celebrated in the second week after Pentecost in the Middle Franconian market town. Over four days from Friday to Monday, the program was shaped by the Kärwabaum erection, Betzentanz and Friedgebot by the Kärwaboum and Kärwamoidla, the unique Brühtrogrennen on the market pond, the parade, and the Bärenausjagen. As every year, the Kärwa was supported by the local Kärwagesellschaften and the Markt Cadolzburg.

The 2025 edition confirmed the enduring popularity of the Cadolzburg Kärwa. Thousands of visitors from the market town, the district of Fürth, and the wider Middle Franconian region strolled through the historic old town of Cadolzburg, visited the inns, and gathered at the market pond for the Brühtrogrennen.

The tradition of Betzentanz, Friedgebot, and Bärenausjagen was performed as every year by the Kärwaboum and Kärwamoidla in Franconian traditional costume — a living, intergenerational custom that has survived in this form in only a few market towns in Franconia.
