Overview
The 2025 summer season of the Burghoftheater Kapellendorf comprised six weeks of open-air theatre in the courtyard of the water castle — cabaret, comedy, and performance art every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:30 PM. The Kurz- und Kleinkunstbühne continued the tradition of summer castle theatre.
2025 Preview Edition
The 2025 summer season followed the proven format: around 18 performance evenings over six weeks, each from Thursday to Saturday at 8:30 PM in the castle courtyard. Political cabaret, comedy, performance art, and occasional local musicals shaped the programme. The Kapellendorf Water Castle, as the historic venue, offered the atmospheric setting between sandstone walls and castle towers, as in previous years — one of Thuringia's most charming summer theatre locations.
