Burgfest Lupburg

As every year, the previous edition of the Burgfest Lupburg was characterized by two factors: on the one hand, the spectacular backdrop of the hilltop castle with a view into the valley of the Schwarze Laber, and on the other hand, the well-established program of Bockstechen, community cup shooting, and traditional costume band. The Lupburg Castle Association e.V. organizes the festival on a voluntary basis; its members come from the market town and surrounding districts, closely networked with the shooting club, the traditional costume association, and the fire department.

The previous year's event was covered by the local press and is considered one of the reliably recurring castle festival dates in the Upper Palatinate Jura. It is also regularly a hiking destination for guests from the Regensburg-Neumarkt region.
