Edition 2025 — Burgenfestspiele Passau
The 2025 Burgenfestspiele Niederbayern at the Veste Oberhaus Passau took place from mid-June to mid-July 2025, featuring operas, plays, and concerts by the Landestheater Niederbayern. The annual open-air festival on the bishop's fortress is a firm highlight of the Southern German theatre summer.
The 2025 season continued the tradition of the Landestheater Niederbayern of performing repertoire pieces and concert programs at the Veste Oberhaus. In case of bad weather, performances were moved to the Stadttheater Passau as usual.
Tickets were only available through the Passau Theatre Box Office – a hallmark of the institution, which consciously cultivates personal contact with its audience.
