Overview

The Burgebracher Kerwa 2025 ran from October 2nd to 10th, with Kerwa Sunday on October 5th. As usual, Einschiessen at the Goldberg, raising of the Kerwabaum, Kerwa procession with themed floats, fireworks, Hahnenschlag and Gaßbockraustanzen on Monday, and the ceremonial burial of the Kerwa on Friday.

The 2025 edition of the Burgebracher Kerwa adhered to its established program. It opened on Thursday, October 2nd, with the Einschiessen at the Goldberg, and on Sunday, October 5th, the grand Kerwa procession wound through the market town, with the Burschen and Madla presenting their satirical themed floats referencing village life and national politics.

Monday focused on Hahnenschlag and Gaßbockraustanzen – customs practiced in this form in only a few Franconian locations. On Friday, the humorous burial of the Kerwa concluded the nine days, before the Kerwasburschen and -madla returned to village life until the following October.
