The 2025 literature festival at Burg Hülshoff continued the format established by the Center for Literature: festive opening, conversations between authors and the audience, performances with a literary focus, and poetry walks through the moats and castle parks — all part of the year-round programme centred around the Droste-Hülshoff heritage.

The 2025 edition continued the line of the Center for Literature: a festive opening, several days of conversations about contemporary literature, performances with literary connections, guided tours of the castle and the attached Droste Museum, as well as poetry walks through the castle park and moat. Burg Hülshoff as the birthplace of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff is part of the programme — and the festival uses this location to celebrate the connection between literary heritage and contemporary literary production. One of the most important literature festivals in the Münsterland, with international programming and an atmospherically rich event setting that is second to none.
