Overview
The Buntes Treiben in Bonn-Oberkassel in August 2025 followed the established Rhenish Schützenfest tradition. The JMJ Junggesellen-Bruderschaft organized five days of festivities with the raising of the Vogelstang, a parade, and the 'Beerdigung'.
Buntes Treiben 2025
The 2025 edition followed the traditional Rhenish Schützenfest program: raising of the Vogelstang on Friday, parade on Sunday, and 'Beerdigung' on Tuesday. Families from Oberkassel and Bonn-Beuel celebrated five days of district Volksfest together.
Subsequently, the JMJ Junggesellen-Bruderschaft announced the 2026 edition with a format expansion: new hall evenings on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are intended to make the festival more attractive to younger generations.
