Bunt oder Blau 2025 took place over two days on September 20 and 21 at JunkYard Dortmund. 18 acts, no genre boundaries – from Free Jazz to Future Soul to bass-heavy Electronica. Highlights included ECHT!, Rah & The Ruffcats, Darrifourcq/Hermia/Ceccaldi, and Richie Tom Ford's ALLAN.

The 4th edition in 2025 was the first to span two days and expanded the line-up to 18 acts across two stages. Saturday's performers included ECHT!, Rah & The Ruffcats, Darrifourcq/Hermia/Ceccaldi, Richie Tom Ford's ALLAN, and deafdawg., Mother Bear, Kirby, Bangkok Poppy, Wiz. The festival thus confirmed its position as the most exciting crossover format on the NRW jazz and soul calendar.
