Overview

In 2025, the Civic Festival with the German Hop Picker Championship took place on August 16 and 17 in Siegenburg. As in every edition, Sunday was dedicated to the festive parade and the hop picker competition, where the winners were determined based on the weight and cleanliness of the picked hops.

The 2025 edition of the Civic Festival ran on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17. Siegenburg Market and the Hallertau Folk Costume Association hosted the festival according to the established format: hearty brass band music, culinary specialties, and entertainment for all generations.

The highlight was again Sunday with the festive parade of hop pickers and queens, as well as the German Hop Picker Championship. The winners of the 2025 Hop Picker Championship were officially announced; the jury evaluated, as usual, the weight and cleanliness of the hand-picked hops. The festival reaffirmed Siegenburg's role as a traditional hop seal community in Hallertau.
