Overview

The Bürgerfest Abensberg 2025 took place on July 5 and 6, starting Saturday at 4:00 PM and Sunday at 10:00 AM. The town square featured an open-air club atmosphere, Aventinusplatz invited relaxation, and visitors enjoyed historical "Dolce Vita Bavarese" in the castle garden. Medieval groups and a fire show by the Omschberger Feierdeife on Saturday evening characterized the program.

The 2025 edition brought several innovations: the castle garden opened for the first time without admission, and the LiebesinselBÜHNE on Saturday was a new highlight intended to appeal particularly to the younger generation. As usual, knights in impressive costumes fought, historical camps displayed artifacts to touch, and music groups like the Heislratzn, Not'nquetscha, Laaber ned, Grünthal, and Harp & Strings enhanced the atmosphere of the castle ruins.

With free admission and the backdrop of the castle ruins, the festival reaffirmed its firm place in the event calendar of Abensberg and the district of Kelheim.
