Edition 2025 — Brückenfest Müngsten
The 2025 Brückenfest once again attracted thousands of visitors to the Wupper valley under the Müngstener Bridge. The steam train specials on the Bergische Runde were completely sold out again; in the Brückenpark, the Bergische Kaffeetafel, arts and crafts, and the stage program characterized the weekend. The City of Solingen, which has supported the festival since the 100th bridge anniversary in 1997, once again reported a positive outcome.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition: steam train specials on the Bergische Runde across the Müngstener Bridge, a program in the Brückenpark with Bergisches specialties and a stage, complemented by bridge tours and an arts and crafts market.
As every year, representatives of the City of Solingen and the steam railway associations opened the festival. The combination of an industrial culture spectacle (Germany's highest steel bridge), historic steam trains, and Bergisches conviviality ensured its appeal. With the Sunday opening of shops in Solingen-Mitte, the circle was completed between the Brückenpark and city life.
