Overview

The Brent Goose Days 2025 took place over three weeks around the peak of the Brent Goose migration. As in previous years, the Halligen islands, islands, and mainland jointly presented a program of excursions, lectures, family offerings, and accompanying concerts — coordinated by the Wadden Sea National Park and its partners.

The 2025 edition continued the tradition established over many years: a festive opening on one of the Halligen islands, followed by about three weeks of programming around the Brent Goose stopover period. Up to 80,000 birds once again made a stopover on the North Frisian Halligen islands and salt marshes before continuing their journey to the Siberian tundra.

The event once again highlighted the international importance of the Wadden Sea as a hub on the East Atlantic Flyway and brought nature enthusiasts from all over Germany and Northern Europe to North Frisia.
