Overview
At the 2025 Bremen Ice Bet, the Ice Bet tailor, as every year on January 6th, checked at Punkendeich whether the Weser River was frozen. The Ice Bet Festival followed on the third Saturday of January at the Congress Centrum Bremen in front of around 800 guests, raising €607,764 for the sea rescuers.
In 2025, the Ice Bet Festival again followed the traditional schedule in the Hansesaal of the Congress Centrum Bremen: festive reception, president's speech, toasts to Germany and Bremen, honors, musical contributions, and cabaret, along with the classic Kohl-und-Pinkel meal. The collected donations amounting to €607,764 benefited the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked Mariners, continuing the tradition maintained since 1928.
