Overview

The 18th Brewery Festival of Klosterbrauerei Scheyern 2025 took place, as usual, on the Corpus Christi holiday. The proven program — Pontifical High Mass at 8:30 AM in the Basilica, Corpus Christi procession, Weißwurst breakfast with the monks in the monastery courtyard, Slovenian guests with dance and music, Bavarian-Bohemian brass music in the late afternoon — once again attracted hundreds of visitors from the Hallertau hop region, the Pfaffenhofen area, and the neighboring northern Munich region to the monastery.

The 2025 edition followed the classic format. The monastery beer was served in the monastery courtyard, and the monastery butchers offered their specialties. Monks, monastery employees, and volunteers together ensured a dignified festival day.

The Scheyern Brewery Festival is an example of the rare combination of monastic liturgy, centuries-old brewing tradition, and Bavarian festival culture. Anyone who has attended knows that this festival is something special — not a tourist spectacle, but a living contribution to Bavarian monastic culture.
