Overview

The 2025 edition of Brass Odyssey again ran over the Pentecost weekend, bringing several international brass bands to Berlin venues. The finale at Holzmarkt 25 in Friedrichshain gathered concerts from multiple bands on stages along the Spree. The organizer was, as usual, Fanfare Gertrude.

Festival 2025 in Friedrichshain

Brass Odyssey 2025 took place over three days – Friday, Saturday, and Pentecost Sunday – with concerts at various Berlin locations and a finale at Holzmarkt 25 in Friedrichshain. Fanfare Gertrude invited friendly brass bands from Germany and France to Berlin.

Funky Street Orchestra Style

As in 2026, the focus was musically on the spectrum of the modern brass band scene – brass with funk, Balkan, and pop influences, clearly geared towards danceability and open-air atmosphere. The finale at Holzmarkt remained traditionally free (donations welcome).
