Overview
In 2025, the Bottroper Herbstkirmes took place as usual on the last weekend of September, transforming the city center into a Volksfest mile with carousels, a Ferris wheel, food stalls, and classic Kirmes atmosphere. Parallel to this, the Michaelismarkt with a flea market and handicrafts on Ernst-Wilczok-Platz – a classic in the autumn calendar of the northern Ruhr area.
Autumn Kirmes 2025
In 2025, the Bottroper Herbstkirmes once again attracted families from across the region to the city center. Three days of rides and stalls on Altmarkt, Berliner Platz, Kirchplatz, and Pferdemarkt, plus classic food stands and the parallel Michaelismarkt on the weekend.
The combination of traditional Kirmes and flea market has made the Bottrop autumn weekend popular for years – visitors from Oberhausen, Gladbeck, Essen, and the surrounding districts complement the local audience.
