Overview
The Bottrop Carnival 2025 traditionally took place during the carnival week — Weiberfastnacht opened the season, five days of carnival fair with showmen in the city center, stage program at Rathausplatz, fireworks on Friday evening, and the Rose Monday parade through the city center were the central program points. Thousands of revelers from Bottrop and the western Ruhr area celebrated with “Bottrop Helau” — a format that will continue in 2026.

In 2025, the carnival fair with 80 showmen, daily stage program at Rathausplatz, Friday fireworks, and Rose Monday parade again characterized the city center. A classic Rhenish format with Kamelle, Möhnen, Bützchen, and „Bottrop Helau” — one of the largest street carnival events in the western Ruhr area.
