Bonndorf Castle Festival

The 2025 edition of the Bonndorf Castle Festival ran on the last weekend of July 2025 at Bonndorf Castle in the High Black Forest. As the festival tradition has dictated for over 40 years, the mayor of Bonndorf opened the festival on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. with the traditional barrel tapping at Schlossplatz. Three stages with brass bands from the Black Forest, Schlager, and party music, as well as live bands, characterized the musical program. 19 gastronomic club stands—Bonndorf clubs and guests from the French partner town Bains-les-Bains—served visitors with Black Forest specialties and French dishes. Sunday started with the morning pint from 11:30 a.m., followed by children's programs, street musicians, and musical highlights until the festival concluded on Sunday evening. The festival once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most atmospheric town festivals in the southern Black Forest.
